Oulton Park saw a new winner in the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain as Sam Tordoff took his first pole and victory at the Cheshire circuit, holding off championship leader Michael Meadows.

Just as in Brands Hatch two weeks ago, it was Michael Meadows who dominated the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain at Donington Park last weekend, taking a pair of wins despite brake problems in race one.

Last season’s Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain runner-up Michael Meadows started the season in perfect style by crossing the line first in both races at Brands Hatch, but a race one penalty handed Richard Plant his maiden series victory to deny him the double.
