Hankey given 15-second race two penalty

Euan Hankey has been stripped of his podium finish in the second Porsche Carrera Cup GB race at Brands Hatch for overstepping the track limits, dropping him out of the top 10.

The race one winner had managed to fend off pressure from James Sutton to hang onto a second place finish, but after the race was handed the 15-second penalty for repeatedly using the runoff on the exit of Graham Hill bend during the race.

The time penalty incourred dropped Hankey to 11th place as a result, and the points lost mean he drops from second to fifth in the championship standings, 15 behind Parker team-mate Stephen Jelley who leads after the first round.
